Pieces of Eight is a charming beach house located in a quiet neighborhood with captivating views of the Gulf from the back deck, living room and two of the three bedrooms, and is just steps from the gated boardwalk leading directly to the beach. Pieces of Eight rests on stilts leaving the ground level for parking and shaded outdoor seating.

The grand ceilings and striking fireplace give this home a romantic and cozy feel with bursts of nautical and tropical decor and textures. The livingroom is comprised of two couches and rocker recliner, made for watching a movie on the TV with cable and Wifi or gazing out the back windows and door at the view of the water. The family can gather around for boardgames, cards, read a book or select from a movie provided on the shelving area next to the TV. The desk with lamp and chair are beneficial for those working from home or for distance learning assignments.
Make yourself at home in the kitchen preparing meals with crisp white appliances, open shelving, spacious counter tops, a regular coffee maker, dishes, basic pots, pans and utensils. Savor your freshly cooked meals at the glass dining table with seating for eight. The master bedroom (BR1) and bathroom are just off of the living area and can be closed off for a private, intimate retreat area with access to the back deck. Unwind in this suite with a King bed, nightstands, closet, luggage rack, chest for your beach attire, wall mounted TV and accent chair. The bathroom has a tile vanity, separate from the tub/shower. For your convenience, there is a full size washer and dryer tucked neatly in the bathroom. The other two bedrooms are situated on the other side of the home. Rest in the guest room (BR2) consisting of a Queen bed, nightstand, accent chair, closet, chest and wall mounted TV and a glass door accessing the back deck. Kids will love sleeping in the bunk room (BR3) made up of a Twin over Full bunk bed and an additional Twin bed, nightstand, closet and wall mounted TV. The shared hall bathroom includes a double vanity and tub/shower. Take in the back deck where there is plenty outdoor furniture for everyone to enjoy the rolling dunes, the awesome ocean views, sunbathing, stargazing, sipping your morning coffee or a cold beverage.

Under the house, there is parking for four vehicles, a shaded deck with a large table and bar for entertaining, escaping the heat and enjoying the cool ocean breezes. Take advantage of the outdoor shower with hot and cold water for rinsing off after your beach excursions.
This home is just blocks from restaurants, shops and nightlife. Look no further for a better location to bring the family to play, entertain, take in the ocean breeze, or walk over to the beach.

Beautiful view, home, and wonderful location. Home was clean and well stocked. Home has pull out couch for extra sleeping spots. Any issues we had were quickly fixed with prompt service and resolution. We would rent again. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Charming, comfortable and clean. Love the deck and party area under the house! Kitchen is very well equipped. Easy walk to the beach. The owners have put in a lot of effort to make their guests feel welcome. Definitely recommend. We’ll be back. Some maintenance issues you should be aware of. The garbage disposal was not working. No outdoor shower as advertised (no plumbing). The rain gutter outside the guest bedroom is loose on both ends and rattles in the wind. None of these were a problem for us.

We have been utilizing Life in Paradise for our coastal stays now for the past few years. We have stayed in several of the houses in the La Playa neighborhood and had never stayed in Pieces of eight. I will be honest, we were hesitant on the house from the pictures but was the only available home for the night we wanted... We were certainly thrown back when we got to the house.. It is spacious, cozy, and clean. It is actually now our favorite.. We loved it so much we booked an additional night. It appeared that several updates had been done and being able to see the water from the living room was a huge plus. Our biggest thing is the cleanliness and conditions of the properties and this was unexpectedly pleasant.... We loved it so much we stayed the rest of the week..It was only supposed to be a Tuesday get away but pleasantly ended on Friday.. We will be staying at this house again.. Thanks!!!
