Check into relaxation in this updated second-floor condo which sleeps six. A couch which converts to a sleeper sofa, rocker, recliner and accent chair in the living room keep you comfortable while watching the TV or looking out to the Gulf of Mexico. The cozy kitchen has all the appliances, utensils, basic pots, pans and dishes you need to enjoy your stay. Lining the kitchen is the bar area with seating for two. The adjacent dining table has seating for four. Step onto the private balcony with your cup of coffee and enjoy the sounds and views of the water. See it all from chairs on the balcony, whether you want to watch a game of sand volleyball or see the seabirds diving in the waves. Back inside, the master bedroom (BR1) has two queen-sized beds and attached upgraded bathroom with vanity and tub/shower. The second bedroom (BR2) has one queen-sized bed. All the bedding matches with quaint coastal designs. The second bathroom has a sink and tub/shower. Amenities include: TV, Wi-Fi, access to Charcoal BBQ pits and picnic areas, laundry facilities, 2 Boardwalks to the Beach, 2 Shared Community Pools. Located near downtown Port Aransas, you have easy access to the golf course, shopping, restaurants and entertainment.

We had the best time here. Perfect location. Close to boardwalk. Plenty of room for the 5 of us. Condo was clean and had all the basic amenities. We will definitely be back.

I'm giving the condo 4 stars only because it was lacking some amenities in the actual condo, which was inconvenient. I do wish they had a washer and dryer in the condo - the laundry room was located outside, within walking distance, and I believe it took quarters to use. Other than that, the condo was clean, definitely a little bit older or at least worn in certain places in the flooring that needed fixing. Lots of towels, the beds were super comfortable but glad I took my own pillow because we didn't have enough for our liking. I would definitely stay here again! The best part was their $100 beach gear rental credit - definitely take advantage of that!. That came in handy and they were happy to help with some gear that was breaking while we were using it.

Picture were totally accurate which I really appreciated. Security was polite and helpful. Rooms were spacious enough and a/c was spot on! Little kitchen was perfect for our needs. Beds were well sheeted, but were a little rough on me. But that's because I got an old body. Everyone else will have no problems. It's great. And so very close to the beach. A perfect day was had by all. Thanks again!

The setup is simple and the balcony is large and private. Quiet, couldn't hear neighbors even being in between floors. Definitely outdated, but I don't really care about that. I do care that the main bathroom's toilet barely flushed, the pile of wires in a corner of the living room… just shove them in a basket, no skillet to make the breakfast material I brought so we didn't have to eat out for that meal, and the state of the floors. I understand after a day or so, the floors will be dirty… my son and my feet were black within an hour of walking barefoot. We wore shoes or socks for the rest of the trip. For the price, the pools, the quietness, the slight view of the ocean on balcony.. def worth it. I also did tell the guy I spoke to when checking out early about the floors, skillet, and leaking cups; he said he'd handle. Forgot to mention the toilet.

The condo provided a roof over our head and was a great location for getting to the beach and having time walking along the beach. The condo is not a luxurious space but adequate for a short getaway in PA. We did not appreciate the thermostat resetting itself to 85 degrees in the middle of the night. We repeatedly had to reset it to make the air comfortable for sleeping.

Love the beach access. Convenient to go to downtown. Surprisingly quiet and peaceful for a condo. You hardly hear anything from neighbors. The wall must be thick. We enjoyed the view from the long balcony. You can peek the ocean, but mostly view dunes. Contactless check-in/out procedures were nice and easy. The buildings look old, but clean and well-maintained. A few suggestions to improve: - The shower drain in the master bedroom was slow. Adding a fan would eliminate the moisture, too. - The tennis court was a plus for us. Unlike the pictures at the website, they converted one of the courts to a pickle ball court, though. The lights at the courts are not bright enough to play at night. Besides, the cabana lights next to the courts were too bright and interfered our play. Balls looked disappeared because of that. - Adding a light in the living room would be great. It was too dark. - Replacing all cookware would be great. They were all outdated and looked heavily used. - There was no bar to hang in the closet in the 2nd bedroom. There were no hangers in any rooms, either.

Lovely views and great location

Clean and cozy condo with great beach views and a great location to town. Quick walk to the beach, minutes away from Old Town Port Aransas, comfy couch and recliner for watching TV. Very responsive for questions and issues. Have quarters to use the communal washer dyer if you are staying more than a weekend, and bring a fan since there aren't ceiling fans in the rooms to move the air.

Dune view

We loved the easy access to the beach, via the boardwalks. The balcony was roomy and awesome for afternoon/evening sitting and cocktails; great dune view of grassy areas, water areas with shore birds both in front and back of condo, and peaceful off-the-beaten path condo at the end of the last building.

Everything was as advertised. A/C worked well as did everything else. Biggest complaint was the unit desperately needed maintenance. Ceiling and walls need repair and painting. Rusty skillets and rusty kitchen tools were a turnoff.

The room was really nice. Loved the balcony, nice chairs and very large area. The fans didn't work just right, but good enough. Great location to walk to the beach or sit on the balcony and just watch the waves. Will definitely stay again!

Island Retreat is perfect for our family, having 3 boys ages 1,2,and 4. This condo needs some upgrades. Carpet needs to be out and ceiling fans in the rooms would help. The view is wonderful. I would like to stay in same area but maybe a different condo unless upgrades are done.

Had only one real problem - the bedding was not acceptable. Needs new sheets, pillows, bedspreads etc. Also need better patio furniture.
