This updated condo has an open living area with a couch and two accent arm chairs with plush pillows, made for relaxing and watching a movie on TV with cable and Wifi. The spacious kitchen is equipped with sleek counter tops, crisp white cabinets, stainless steel appliances including a dishwasher, refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave, regular coffee pot, dishes, basic pots, pans and utensils for your culinary needs. Savor your freshly made meals at the high-top dining table, perched beside the large window with glimpses of the water. There is additional seating at the bar for four. Sip your morning coffee on the private back patio while taking in amazing sunrises and Gulf views. The first bedroom (BR1) consists of a Queen bed, TV, nightstand, closet and chest for your beach attire. The second bedroom (BR2) is made up of 2 Twin beds, a closet and a chest. For your convenience, there is a shared bathroom between these rooms including a vanity with ample space for dressing and makeup, separated from the tub/shower area. The third bedroom (BR3) is composed of two Full beds, nightstand, chest and closet. It has use of a bathroom at the end of the hallway with accommodations of a vanity and pebble tile shower with glass doors. This condo is near downtown Port Aransas, the golf course, shopping, beach access and restaurants. Amenities include: TV, Wireless internet, access to Charcoal BBQ pits and picnic areas, laundry facilities, 2 Boardwalks to the Beach, 2 Shared Community Pools.

Liked this apartment a lot. Large open kitchen and ample supplies to cook, except the owner should buy more small spoons for breakfast needs. Nice balcony in the pm hours to sit and chat. If you are older or have bad knees, be aware climbing the steps 3-4 times a day or during packing/unpacking gets harder with each step. We recommend this roomy and comfortable unit, but we will choose a downstairs place next year because it was hard for us Golden Girls to walk up the stairs.

Beach getaway

Overall

We always enjoy our time at Island Retreat - lots of parking, amenities like the pools and grills and tennis/pickle ball courts - the beach access. Will be back again soon. Unit could consider adding a dust mop so the sandy floors can be cleaned easily during stay and some spoons in the kitchen so that a party of 5 does not have to share the 3 serving spoons to eat with. :)
