Peak at the waves through the dunes, then walk off your back porch to let the sand tickle your toes. The boardwalk over the dunes is all that's between you and the beach.
Sip your coffee on the back porch at this corner unit in privacy while watching the shorebirds soar over the dunes with beach kites in the background.
You can go for gelato or ice cream, do a little shopping or be at one of Port A’s Beach Street restaurants in less than 10 minutes on a golf cart and have a cook prepare your catch of the day for dinner. There are two community pools, multiple grills, sand volleyball, basketball and an on-site laundry facility at your disposal.

With a kitchen equipped by an owner who loves to cook, you’ll find everything you need, even a Keurig and crockpot, if you want to stay in. Designed with kids in mind, the “crew’s quarters" (BR1) consists of a Twin over Full bunk bed with an extra Twin. The “first mate’s” quarters (BR2) contains a Queen, and the “Captain’s” suite (BR3) is fitted with a Queen bed and an extra Twin. Both bathrooms have a tub/shower. There is a washer/dryer tucked neatly in the hall for your use during your stay.

End the day on the shaded porch as the kids play on the mowed grass, or head back over the boardwalk for an evening stroll or a fire on the beach.

I rented "there's a woman to blame" for my kids and grands to celebrate my 52nd birthday! It was perfect- 4 adults and 4 kids- everyone had a bed! Memories of a lifetime were made! Thank you! We will definitely be back!!

We were extremely pleased with the accommodations at IR101: There's A Woman To Blame in Port Aransas. Everything was as represented on the VRBO site and the rental personnel were extremely helpful and quick to respond to inquiries regarding the rental and gaining entry once we arrived. We had an awesome time and would love to stay here again next year if it is available during our vacation time. Very clean and well appointed for a relaxing and close to the beach getaway. We have a wonderful stay and look forward to visiting again next year. Thanks everyone. ~Alison

We had a wonderful family gathering at Island Retreat for our granddaughters birthday. The condo had everything we needed. games and puzzles for the kids. just a short walk across the boardwalk to the beach, so we didn't need to drive and park on the beach. The pool was great and we had a family BBQ by the pool at the outdoor grill and partied at the picnic tables and pool. Lots of fun... "best birthday ever" ... grand daughter's quote.

Very comfortable. Can't think of anythingWe needed that wasn't there. Beds were nice and comfy and that is a rare thing for us at our age. Plenty of towels, great kitchen . Have always had a second floor view and I did miss that also the porch furniture is not built for hanging out in for long. That was the only let down. And a common one as not many owners spend money on Good patio furniture

Relaxing Stay

Overall

We had a wonderful relaxing stay at the condo. The weather was great and it was so nice to be able to just walk to the beach from our back door. The beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed to cook several meals. We also walked to the restaurant just down the beach and enjoyed a meal with a view. We will definitely be back again.

You can see the beach through the dunes here, and it's just a short walk. The condo was spotless, and really nicely furnished with comfy chairs and sofa, and had some fun puzzles and books. I really enjoyed the very large pool with shaded seating as well.
