The Mayan Princess is right in the middle of Mustang Island, with Port Aransas a ten-minute drive to the North and North Padre Island just minutes to the South. Corpus Christi is right over the JFK Causeway Bridge and Rockport is just a ferry ride away.Mayan Princess One bedroom condo on the second floor. This one bedroom condo is located on the second floor overlooking one of the two pools and gulf view. The full kitchen is stocked with basic pots, pans and utensils for your cooking needs. The dining table has seating for 4 and 2 stools are at the bar for additional seating. The open living room has ample seating and sits by the back glass door which opens to the balcony. Behind the living seating area are a set of built in Twin bunk beds.The Master Bedroom (BR1) has a King size bed and an open en-suite bathroom. The washer and dryer are tucked neatly into a hall closet. Relax and enjoy our coffee and the ocean breeze sitting on the balcony. This unit will comfortably sleep 2 adults and 2 children. **Please note, construction is still going on at this complex**

Amenities include: TV, Free wireless internet, Internet, access to communal BBQ pits and picnic areas near pool, washer and dryer in each unit, a boardwalk to the beach, 2 large pools, 1 is heated during the winter months, 1 kiddie pool,1 hot tub for those 16 yrs and older, ***sports equipment available for free in the front office***

The Mayan Princess is wonderful. The unit has a fantastic view of the pool and the beach. The unit is well stocked and has an enormous jacuzzi tub. We enjoyed our stay!

Overall, the unit suited us well. I did read previous reviews ahead of time and planned accordingly, bringing some of my own cooking supplies. However, when we arrived there was ample supplies for what we needed. We did not use the pots and pans, as they were well worn and covered in sawdust under the cabinet. I think the drawer above it must rub and cause the sawdust. The shower is a little awkward in that it is part of the oversized tub and has no privacy curtain. You step up onto a platform type area and then down into the deep tub. I've never seen this type set up before, but we made it work. There were several light bulbs out in the unit and the dryer squeals. The sliding door is very hard to close. All were things we could live with. After all, it is a rental that many people use, so I wouldn't expect it to be perfect. The location was great, as the majority of the crowds were at the northern end of the was very easy to social distance. The view was beautiful.We would stay here again in the future.

The condo was nice and was clean. Beautiful view of the Gulf and overlooking pools. The back sliding door is in need of adjustment but that was the only problem. Overall everything was great.

Clean condo, beautiful view from the porch. Felt safe on the condo property. Limited kitchen supplies but adequate. Would have preferred to go through Mayan Princess condo reservations than through property management company. They caused more stress than reserving through Mayan Princess. I was texted and called multiple times on Friday regarding our check in time, with no real text response. I received a call as we were attempting to leave for the coast, regarding ETA. Even though my husband and I bother clarified that we did not need to go to the rental company office upon arrival and to go straight to the Mayan Princess. I asked the time of the Mayan Princess’s lobby hours and was told to call them to ask. If I’m going to go through a property management company I would hope they’d be helpful with all parts of the reservation and know their visitors and their needs.

The whole resort is very well maintained and very clean. The pool area is great and again very well maintained and managed. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Location was perfect to get away from the big crowds but still be close enough to drive into town for a meal or groceries. The unit we stayed in was in general good but I was disappointed about a few things for that price. - The balcony's sliding door was unacceptable - it had to be operated with 2 hands and full body weight to open and close it. The door did not seal and the wind will whistle through the openings on the sides all night long. - Pots and pans conditions and options are unacceptable for that price per night. A new set is a must. - A proper set of drinking and wine glasses would have been nice. The options available makes you feel you stay there for $59 per night. - The sitting room chairs and coach are terrible to sit on - too old with no back and bottom support to sit comfortable. Otherwise the resort is awesome and we had a good time.

The Mayan Princess property was well maintained and the staff was friendly. The pools are always clean and I like the trash shoots being at the end of the building so you don't have to carry the trash all the way to the dumpster. The condo needs some attention. They could use some upgrades like changing out the couches. The microfiber is worn down and now the couches have a sticky texture to them and they are very uncomfortable. There wasn't a full compliment of adequate kitchen items. They need to replace some pots and there are no pans except for the broiler pan and that doesnt even have the slated top. There was only one small skillet that was so badly burnt on the bottom that I had to try to scrub it before using it. There weren't any measuring cups or spoons. There wasn't a broom and dustpan for sandy floors. Although we tried to not bring in sand you are at the beach and the floors will get sandy. The cabinet on the bathroom vanity was hard to open where the towels are because there are no handles so I had to use a nail file to help me pry it open alittle bit to get to the towels. The tub needs anti-slip strips on the bottom of the tub so it is not so slippery. The sliding glass door wouldn't close all the way. There was a latch lock but you couldn't use it because the door wouldn't close. We had to use the sliding glass dooe bar but there was still a gap. The front door deadbolt didn't turn all the way so we just used the handle lock. We went to the Life in Paradise office to check in only to find out that you check in at the Mayan Princess. Like other condos they should change the entry lock to an electronic one so guests don't have to worry about losing the condo key. We stayed for 7 days and I didnt feel that this particular condo was worth the money we spent. I'm only giving this review because of the Mayan Princess personnel and amenities or else I would give this particular condo a 2 star rating. The room we had was nice and had a great view and access to the beach! Pool was really big and nice as well. We only had trouble one night while I was cooking we set off the fire alarm and could not reach anyone at the property for help. Luckily the left the alarm box UNLOCKED and was able to reset it!

For the price, being on the beach it was good. The pools were a hit for the kids, but the condo needed work. The back sliding door was damaged, maybe still due to Harvey or whatever damage it saw, one side of the master bed was extremely slopped and uneven, cable tv with no actual cables to where you couldn’t watch tv, switches didn’t work, outdated, etc. All of that being said, we had a great time because of the location. We didn’t go to port A to stay in the condo, but it severely missed expectations.
